Wilderness Safaris conservation work recognised
A conservation organisation-turned-safari operator has been praised for its efforts to preserve and restore huge tracts of Africa’s wild spaces. Wilderness Safaris helps conserve some three million hectares of land across seven countries in Southern Africa. The organisation was a finalist in the recent Tourism for Tomorrow conservation awards. Judges singled the company out for its long term commitment to sustainable operations. Wilderness employs 3,000 people, almost all from local communities.
