The Golf Environment Organisation

A new website has been launched encouraging golf courses to become more sustainable and helping golfers choose the greenest courses.

The site is golfenvironment.org and is run by the Scottish-based not for profit team, the Golf Environment Organisation. They are designing an eco-certification system for European golf.

They're also working with 2010 Ryder Cup host Celtic Manor in Wales to make sure the event is the greenest-ever golf championship, says boss Jonathan Smith.
