Emirates wins top conservation award

Halting the decline in biodiversity and reducing carbon emissions are key priorities for Emirates Hotels & Resorts, overall winner of the 2010 Tourism for Tomorrow Conservation Award.

The company runs the 225 square kilometre Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, one of the most important endangered species' habitats in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Emirates' Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in New South Wales' Blue Mountains is the first hotel in the world to be accredited as carbon neutral.
