Whale Watch Kaikoura has won this year's global Tourism for Tomorrow Community award.

The company runs boat safaris to watch sperm whales off the coast of New Zealand's South Island.

The Maori tour operator is one of the biggest employers in the town of Kaikoura and has helped support dozens of spin-off jobs and businesses in the community.
