Maui Motorhomes hire prices in New Zealand start from NZ$115 per day for the Maui Spirit 2 sleeping two people; the four berth Maui Platinum Beach starts from $155 and six berth Maui Spirit 6 from $160 per day. Prices are based on a week's rental – discounts for longer stays.

That's why campervan operator Maui is encouraging holidaymakers to lend a hand with eco projects in New Zealand and Australia run by Conservation Volunteers. The charity organises more than 2,000 conservation projects in Australia and New Zealand every year. You can sign up for a day, a weekend or longer – planting seeds, clearing weeds or helping look after some of the rarest animal species on Earth.

Maui has also joined forces with the New Zealand Tourism Energy Efficient Programme to design a new, more planet-friendly motorhome. The Platinum van is 15 per cent better at retaining heat than similar-sized traditional models.
The company has also been awarded the Qualmark Enviro-Silver Award for responsible waste management, energy and water conservation. This includes information about official campgrounds that manage waste and energy and make special efforts to look after their local surroundings.
