Tourism soaks up a great deal of water – and very often in the driest countries on Earth. That's why the tourism-funded Just a Drop charity was formed – to turn on the tap for the one billion people still without ready access to fresh water.

The charity builds wells, pumps and boreholes for communities across 30 countries. It's a vital service – a child dies every 20 seconds because of contaminated water.
